Lightning Fans Will Soon Know......

...what it's like to be a Leafs fan - for over 50 years.

Said from someone who knows.......

....only too well.

Who Knew...?

I used to think Dwayne Wade, point guard for the NBA's Miami Heat, was a regular sized - if not kind of smaller - NBA player.

Here is a pic of the Heat from their glory days, with Wade the short guy on the right.

Michael Strahan, however, was a feared linebacker for the New York Giants.

An absolute beast of a man who terrorized quarterbacks.

Here he is sacking Tom Brady.

Well, Michael Strahan is now a host of  Good Morning America and Dwayne Wade retired last night.

So they had Wade on the program this morning.

(The TV was on in the gym - honest! I never even heard of Good Morning America before.)

At the end of the show, they exchanged jerseys.

And as you can see, Strahan towers over......what?

What?  Wade is taller and bigger than Michael Strahan?   How can that be?

I guess that just goes to show you how massively huge these NBA ballers are.  And they look so tiny on the TV.

So either I need to go to a game (or another game, as both my loyal readers will remember the last game we went to) or trade in my 19" Philco for something larger.

I'm thinking probably both.

For Your Viewing Pleasure

In response to some comments from yesterday....

 That's gotta hurt.

 Now he's got 'im!

Ouff.....

The gator's seem to be getting the worst of these.

 That guy means business,

Hope that thing is dead.  Although it doesn't look like it....

Maybe just the guy thinks it is.

That's Good Eating

So further to my last past where I said the Florida Everglades should be called River of Gators...I stand corrected.

Of course, the hungriest and nastiest are the pythons.

And they just captured the granddaddy of them all.

Sorry, grandma of them all.

This beauty is the largest ever caught - a 17 foot, 140 pound bunch of loving & hugging.  With 73 developed eggs.

They tagged several males in hopes of finding breeding grounds - and they did.

Who says men are worthless.

This reminds me of another post a while back.

Click What A Great Place To Live for a refresher when they actually go hunting for these things.

And if you do click that link - and look at the last picture - you may be surprised to see that a python's head is the same size as an alligator's.   Holy s.....
