Thank Goodness For Canadian Justice!

Three "youths" were seen jaywalking by this officer.  When approached, one "youth" pulled out a gun and shot at the officer.

Because the "youth" was "stupid", he had used the wrong bullets and the gun misfired.

Nonetheless, he still tried to kill the police officer.

Police also claim he is a member of a gang, the Vaughan Road Bloods.

"No, I'm not."

Then they went to his own Facebook page and showed him a picture of the gang, with him in it.

"Ohhhh.....that gang.""

So when sentencing came, at least the crown prosecuting attorney and defence lawyer agreed on one thing; the recommended sentence.

Probation.

Good for them.  Send a message.  And then let them know if they ever do this again, it will be months of probation! Not weeks. And the judge should also give them a very stern look.

They are transferring him him - quickly I hope - to a lower security facility while the judge ponders the recommendation.

Now, reading this article from down here in the southern US, I can almost guarantee you the sentence for attempted murder of a police officer would be a liiiiittle bit different.....

He pulled his gun, but passersby were behind the "youth", so he held his fire.

So many terrible scenarios - glad it turned out humourous - for some.
