Wow! 100 years since the end of WWI. Obviously, the world didn't learn much and soon after WWII followed. As I know live in rural Ontario we have joined the Lindsay Legion. While gathering my fathers WWII discharge records I learned several things. He was a Lancaster pilot and was called over 10 months before Hitler shot himself. He flew several missions which he never talked about or disclosed. He said he was just there for the party. To think that war killed 60 million people is a terrible waste of lives. Through scouring through on line records I also found that both my Grandfathers also served Canada in WWI. Who knew?! Lest we forget!
Hi, I'm Jim Arnott. For whatever reason, I've decided to create a blog. Why would someone want to read my blog? If you have any ideas, please let me know.
My shtick will be to post photos and comments using only my cell phone. Why? It's not because I'm too cheap to buy a real camera. Don't believe those rumours. It's because, well.......this is the only camera I choose to have. Yeah, that's it.
And based on this photo, maybe these low resolution babies are the way to go. Yikes!
I'm an Ontario boy living out in Calgary [who has now moved back to Ontario]. I'll be posting photos using my cell phone. We'll see how good of an idea this is after a while....

Lest we forget indeed. My Dad's dad fought in the trenches in WW1 and also was in WW2. My dad fought in the Cold War for over 30 years as well.
Great comments, guys. Thanks. And thanks to your Dad's, and Dad's Dad's. And thanks to my Dad and my Mother, who both served in WWII.
