Are Women Not Very Smart?

 ...that they constantly need to be reminded about Sex Tips to "get their man"?

Month after month?

I know several men - and is one myself - and let me tell you, you don't need many tips.

One or two, pretty basic ones, will do.

In fact, "Hi" is about all you really need.

Of course, this is why I am not in the magazine business.  Or the Sex Tip business.

Hard To Keep A Good Man Down

A while back I posted about one of my favourite Banyan trees getting ripped up by a passing almost-a-tornado.

There he is (was) on the left.  A massive tree.

After the storm came through, he was completely uprooted.

Like Humpty Dumpty, city workers tried to put him back together again by re-rooting him and putting irrigation piping in (white piping around his bottom) but with all that trauma, nobody was holding their breath.

Well a couple of months later and the old boy is back in (nearly) top form.

Green is growing out of everywhere.  (Which, from my experience, is not always good.)

Hey, there's even a house in behind him!  How long has that been there?

The Sea Was Angry That Day, My Friends

All of these guys have their best days behind them.

Of course, who doesn't......

Unusual to see so many of them washed up the same day.

Not likely to be the Red Tide, as they wouldn't have been eaten.

The birds know when the Red Tide hits, and apart from the eyes, steer clear of eating dead things.

Which - after seeing these scavengers in operation - must take a lot of will power.

[Red Tide is an algae bloom that kills fish.]

Love Them Juicy Fruits

Nothing like some sweet, juicy tomatoes in the dead of winter.

I wonder what exotic country are these flown in from? Peru?  Ecuador?

Or are they local Florida tamats?

They Picked The Right Guy

The newly elected President of FIFA literally kicked off the new soccer season yesterday.

And he doesn't look too shabby doing it either.

Can you imagine if Gary Bettman, the NHL Commissioner....

 ...tried firing a slap shot to start an NHL game?

Or Rob Manfred, the Baseball Commish, throwing some high heat to Big Papi to start the MLB season?

Me neither.

But Mr. Infantino actually looks like he knows what he's doing.

Although the other guy in the photo might disagree.......

This place looks like it is all done up for a fun time!

Looks like a circus or carnival going on inside.

There's a sign advertizing it.

Oh.....

My Kind Of "Prep"!

Usually "prep" instructions for cooking involves cutting up ingredients, marinading meats, preparing sauces and glazes. And Prep Time is usually stated as something like "30 minutes".

The Fix Is In?

The governing body of soccer, FIFA, gets a bad rap about corruption. And deservedly so.

This is why for this presidential election they have promised to end vote buying and secret kick backs.

However, there are some that are skeptical that - even though there are five candidates - the winner has been predetermined.

I don't know - what do you think?

Whoever wins - they're all good looking guys.

"I'm The King Of The World!"

Those Darn Kids!

Everybody's heard of surfing, huh?

And most people have heard of wake-boarding, behind a boat.

So what happens when you combine them....?

Well, get yourself a winch and put some waterski cable through it.

Take it out to the beach and set it up.

Oh, oh...first, find some idiot, then take the winch thing to the beach and set it up parallel with the shore line.

Get the idiot to take one end of the water-ski cable way down the beach.

Turn it on full speed, reel him in and.........

Saw this the other day at the beach.

Couple of buddy's with their contraption.

I asked him where I could get one, maybe Home Depot?

He looked at me and said, shockingly enough, "Made it myself."

Buddy with the winch is on the left.  and other buddy is out in the water.

They lasted about ten minutes before the cops came.

Come on! What could go wrong?

Sure some little kid could get decapitated, but there are lots of little kids out there.

So I think the cops were a little hasty in shutting that fun down.

And just when I was up next for a try.  Oh yeah......

Okay, one last one.  With another one of the pesky kids........

 

And Don't Mention Concussions!

The NFL is all paranoid about anyone linking their sport with concussions.

So when a Detroit Lions receiver said he might hang them up at 30 because he didn't want to take health risks anymore, the Lion's president was all "supportive".

And he did a great job dancing around not making it a health issue or any having relationship to concussions.

Almost.....

D'oh!

Mother Nature Wins Another One

Here is a picture of my two favourite'est trees in the whole world.

Two huge, very old Banyan trees.

However, when our recent almost-a-tornado blew through town, the hugest of the two took a beating.

The 85 mph winds completely ripped it from the ground.

[In case it doesn't look that big, that's the roof of a house behind it.]

The city had to cut it back, and here is all that's left of that magnificent beast.

So compare the top pic with this one and you can see the devastating impact of that almost-a-tornado.

Oh you are so lazy, here it is again, below.

The huge tree on the right in the above photo was originally dwarfed by the one on the left.

But make no mistake -  the one of the right is also huge.

Huge, I tell you!

But all is not lost for our fallen hero.

They are trying to save the tree by replanting it and propping it up.

And by providing irrigation (white piping around the base).

For a refresher on when I first came across theses guys see I Knew Things Were Old.....  to get a feel, pre almost-a-tornado.
