A Michigan man was put in jail for two days for.....
Yup. Calling in to his suspended license hearing....while driving.
The judge reacts in utter disbelief!
"Are you driving"?
Then went on, "What were you thinking?"
"What was I thinking? I was thinking about getting my wife medical help. That's what I was thinking. I wasn't thinking about the fact that I got a suspended license. I don't care about all that."
Turns out his suspended license had been reinstated, but that info never got to the Dept of Motor vehicles to officially reinstate his license. So no harm, no foul.
Except for the two days in jail....
