The original black and white photo certainly seemed more bleak.
But this seems much more realistic, as to what these men were facing that fateful day.
And what were they facing? Few of them knew.
They interviewed one 100 year old vet attending the ceremonies in France and asked him what he was trying to do.
"Get the Hell off that beach!"
You have to wonder how many of today's 18 or 19 years olds would risk their lives for their country.
