D'oh!

Boy he's right on the mark a lot.

Pig does remind me a lot of Charlie Brown, though.....

So It's come To This.....

I'm sure she's a very nice lady, but is this how someone born before 1965 is now being portrayed?

On the plus side, if this is the bar to get under, I'm hoping I may look like the "after 1965" crowd.

Although some mornings......

"They Call Me Mr. Tibbs"

One of the best lines ever in one of the best movies ever, in the  1967 film In The Heat Of The Night.

When the Philadelphia police detective, Sydney Poitier, is wrongly accused  of murder by the racist southern cop, Rod Steiger, Steiger sneers at him and asks, "What do they call you, boy?" Poitier stares him down and replies, "They call me Mr. Tibbs."

I was just a kid and didn't know much, and knew even less about racism in the southern states, but I knew that was a great line and it was a great movie.

Of course, Sydney Poitier died this week.

That was not his only movie from 1967.

You might have heard of the other two - I'm not even going to give you the titles.

Quite the year for the first black man to play essentially a leading role in a film let alone three.

Where Did The Years Go?

Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, 60 years ago.

It says Sunday night, so maybe the Ed Sullivan Show (although looks a little dark and edgy for Ed's stage).

But who's that youngster in the background?

It's Keif!

But unfortunately, this is how most of us think of him....

Almost the caricature of old rockers rockin' too long.

But between these two pics, Keif was a cool, hard rockin' bad ass.

Knocking out hard riffs.

And likely, as life often does to you, taking some hard hits along the way.

But boy, weren't those the days.

Where did those 60 years go....?

Here's looking at you, kid.

I mean Keif.
