Maybe Not Today
How'd you like to have a bite at My Sore Place? I've got a couple.
Okay, okay, so it's actually "Palace". That doesn't change much in my books. I'm thinking I'm going to keep walking down the street and look for a McDonald's......

Rock em Sock em
If you have never seen, or felt, a professional lacrosse game, you're missing some real action. Our local Calgary Roughnecks beat the snot out of the visiting Swarm last night at the Calgary Saddledome.
These guys wear a face mask and shoulder pads (and I'm guessing, a jock) and that's about it. If you have the ball, they can whack you and hack you with the stick from your waist to your neck. This can often leave the fellas feeling a might irritable. And when they drop the gloves, they're not slip sliding aorund on skates like those mama boy hockey players either.
Go 'necks go!!

Hey Big Spender
Calgary has more casinos than.....well....than most places. On a slow Friday afternoon we took advantage of one of them in the downtown area. And yours truly came away the big slots winner, courtesy of the window above, with a cool $9 in my pocket. Oh yeah, ladies, take a number.
Uhhhhh....pay no attention to the 25 cent sign on the machine. Ha ha, it was mislabelled. It was actually a doll...uhhh....a ten dollar machine.

Sunset on the Rockies
Blackie and the Rodeo Kings
Have you ever heard of, or more importantly, heard, Blackie and the Rodeo Kings?
Three lead guitarists formed their own band. And they each like to play louder than the other guy. I heard them in a bar once and it took three years off my ears.
I'm thinking someone has not given the pastor at the Knox United Church here in Calgary the whole Rodeo King story........
Looking West
View From the Porch
I live in Calgary, facing the Bow River and the majestic Rocky Mountains. This is a shot of the Bow River from my porch/balcony. The river's there, under all that snow and ice.
Winter likely isn't the best time for a shot, but that's what happens when you make a New Year's resolution and start in January.
It's actually very sunny today, but I guess my 1.3 megapixel piece of crap camera hides that fact fairly well.
