Because even though it's shallow close to shore [Editor's note: No poop, Poirot.] there is also a sand bar about twenty feet out that is only a foot feet deep.

... Looks like a case of my anchor didn't catch. Note to Lucky Day owner always throw your anchor hooks down so they pulled down into the bottom. If you throw it on edge you risk drifting to shore.
I'm not so sure the new owner of the Lucky Day is a regular Arnotti'ian.....
