I'm The King Of The World!

 

This beautiful Great Egret was perched on the top of a condo.

You usually find them wading in the water looking for lunch.

But she must have seen something from high on her perch.....

...because she flew right down to the ground....

...a made a bee line for the tree outside my window...

...and then slowly, so slowly.......

...got closer...and darted her neck out and stabbed at whatever tasty morsel was there.

Standing they are about 3' tall.  But she immediately almost went flat on the ground and began stalking her next meal.

Beautiful...but deadly.
