And This Is In The Toronto Star!
Wow! What's next?
The sun not coming up tomorrow.
Now, this guy says the article is not an endorsement for Ford, or that he will even vote for him.
It's just that he thinks it is inevitable that Ford will win the Toronto mayoral election. And for thre reasons;
Reason one; politics as entertainment. Rock star name recognition goes a long way. Ronald Reagan, Jesse Ventura, Arnold. Vote for him? Snicker, I just wanna see what happens.....
Reason two; train wreck! Newspapers and websites need to have content that grab people. Anything that has Ford in the title is a clear winner. All the media race to wherever he is, to cover every word. [The only thing worse than being talked about.....]
Reason three; Redemption! Who doesn't love a good story about the Prodigal Son. People will want to give him a second chance. The author even thinks some his left wing, commie pinko friends might vote for him.
Wow.
As Bette Davis said, "Fasten your seats belts, Toronto, it's going to be a bumpy night."

I know a guy who lives in Toronto who actually voted for Rob Ford in his first election. Apparently, he could not see that he was Tommy Boy. A drunken, donut eating slob who couldn't put 5 good sentences together without stopping and having to read his notes. I shudder to think that anyone could believe that an additional term would be good for the City of Toronto. For anyone of us that travels afar he is a common question and any association or link to our fine City of T.O. is humiliating. Recently, in Vancouver I saw T-shirt with his face and the caption under it read "Too fat for crack !" Apparently, not the case. So voters of Toronto it is all up to you. Please don't put us in a position that we will have to explain the unexplainable.
Is it too early to say 'conspiracy'? The media wants him in, so will push the 'redemption' angle, bring up the time that John Tory once stepped on a crack (insinuations of both drug use and endangering his Mother's back), etc, until we have some more quality time with the thin-skinned, bullying, unable to work with others 'part Mayor' (assuming we can remove some of his powers again!)
To put it succinctly - Dump that chump!
