As I watch the Handicapped parking spots all fill - full of disabled, downtrodden, despondent people - an amazing transformation occurs.
As they lug their chairs and umbrellas to the beach, they become - miraculously - cured! Laughing, joking, carrying large coolers and pulling baby strollers. They virtually skip down the road.
I had only heard of this effect before and was skeptical, but now truly believe; this shows the great healing power of the sand and sun.
Oh happy days!

I see a similar effect in downtown Toronto. The disabled come in and park on Pearl St (no parking allowed), put their 'disabled' signs on the dashboards and then are remarkably transformed by the healing power of getting to work!
