Well, recognize part of it anyway.
As I had complained earlier New Improved- RCMI?, not sure if much of the old remains.
So how big is this one? Is it just a few more storeys?

It's obvious anyone seeing this building would immediately think "Every time I look at this I think RCMI."
So at some point when they are building these huge behemoths and saving a tiny façade, you have to ask yourself.......

Right on after all it made total sense to put the RCMI in downtown Toronto in the first place? Don't get me wrong I watched the Santa Claus parade there with my kids in the warmth and comfort of the RCMI while having beers and cheese burgers with military white glove service. Never really understood what they did in there other than eat and have some beers in a library. Seemed like an "officers club". My question is maybe at one time there was a reason to locate military support buildings in Toronto. Does that still hold true? I can think three other prime time spots occupied by our Armed Forces in Toronto that have probably less historical value but take up prime time land worth hundreds of millions. Not sure a build around me solution gives as much back to the military as it should in terms of cash or historical value. Was this truly historical as most people had no idea that it existed or its purpose? Why not just sell site and build as you will necessary for the tax payer to maximize our return. I would then invest the money into much needed programs for our troops. Fix a few Legions is a start along with many other programs that lack funding beyond cheap beer. Historical is not very memorable when the big honking condo towers over your past. It looks rather laughable than historical to me too.

I walked into RCMI just to see what was there a couple of months ago...not too much! Some pictures and models I seem to recall. I took a photo of it with my phone too :-) 426 University Ave
