Proposed law is to get tougher on so called "Porch Pirates".
Stealing packages from porches has almost become an epidemic.
One lawmaker who proposed the bill said, "I don't know what other message we could send."
Well, if you're a lawmaker in Canada you could say you could face defamation charges if you even take a picture of one of these thieves stealing your packages for violating their privacy.

Well, the Toronto police were delivering coffee to the anti-Israeli protesters on the 401 rather than arresting them so I think this attitude is wide spread.
