Way To Go, Tara!

My friends' daughter, Tara Bourque, successfully underwent a double lung transplant this spring.  Her recovery has been nothing short of tremendous.

Now, rather than cavorting with Ellen DeGeneres like another recent, Canadian double lung transplant recipient, Tara has been hard at work.

As part of awareness campaign for organ donations, she was invited, as part of the Make A Wish Foundation, to "Open" the Toronto Stock Exchange yesterday.

She is not the six year old, blond haired boy pushing the button.  But the smiling brunette to his right.

And some how, but not surprizlingly, her old man muscled his way into the proceedings, standing between them.

She has also been busy...well....hey, everybody's got to take a break once in a while. [Very cool sunglasses, Tara.]

Again, her old man tries to steal the show in his "look at me" day glow orange t-shirt.  How does Nancy let him out dressed like this?

Next week, Team Tara will be "going over the edge" to rappel down the side of Toronto's City Hall.  Yikes!

I bet Dayglow Boy won't be so fast to butt in on this event.

See Rope For Hope for more information.  Or if you want to sponsor Team Tara.

Anyway, congrats, Tara, and all the best in your continued recovery!
