Mike & Tod - Day 16

Made it to Alabama, y'all!

That calls for an office break.

A sort of improvised office break.

Good thing they took time for a break, to prepare them for....correct.

Another sort of break.

This time courtesy of Tod.

Hopefully this will be the last of the magic tires and they can get back to their trip.

I guess with the money they spent fixing tires, tubes and spokes, they had to cut corners somewhere.

Now sure, Tripadvisor.com didn't rate this mud hut a four star, but hey, don't judge a book by its cover.

And maybe mud isn't really the word to use.

But you really get used to the smell of dung pretty quickly.

But as the sun was setting, the boys idled into Mobile, Alabama.

And just needed to take a small ferry across yer Mobile Bay.

A Three Hour Tour...
/>Why don't I have a good feeling about this?

It's not like they're going anywhere dangerous.

Sure a couple of drill rigs out in the Gulf.

But they are very small.

Hmmm...they get bigger pretty quick. Ha ha.

I doubt if BP even runs these.

Or if they do, they're their good ones....

And sure tugs are pushing around....stuff.

Black, gooey, harmless stuff, I expect.

Tod's just checking the fullness of his tires.

He does this a lot.

So all in all, not a bad day.

They made it to Dauphin Island. Out om Mobile Bay.

But it's not like any of them rigs or tugs ever get loose and slam into that island or anything.

At least it's not mentioned in the tourist brochures.

Sleep well boys....
