Mike & Tod - Day 11 - Staying Alive, Staying Alive...

Great day for a ferry ride! Feel the breeze in your....everything.

Ferry had been cancelled yesterday, but one ride open today.

And what a ride!

I'm sure the theme from Gilligan's Island was going through the guy's minds as they set out on this voyage. But they made it safe and sound.

And just in time, too. As the ferry is now cancelled til further notice.

So making good progress.

This snap looks a little ominous, but no fear. All is well.

Unfortunately - or fortunately - the boys will now be heading inland, as the police have closed the coastal road. Mike said the news showed huge waves, roads washed out and houses being blowed into the sea.

As long as they are wearing full rain gear, I guess the weather suits their clothes......

In for a penny, I guess. You know, Jim, none of us will ever be "man" enough, ever, around these velo heroes in the future!

Jim, next year (yeah right) put some sort of transponder on them and we can follow them "live" on google earth.

I got the same one, Doug, but thought I would spare his family the anguish of slimy, sleasy, etc. :>)

Maybe Entertainment Tonight will want to follow them? They'll get nicer hotels, though.
