Mike & Tod - Day 13 - That's More Like It

Make it to Viginia Beach! In one day, 125 klics.

Amazing what the promise of warm weather and no hurricanes can do.

And what's this? Shorts?

Tod, you hussy. But they'd been waiting a long time to do this.

So a great trip all down the Virginia coast.

Now gimme a break. Can that Mike guy schmooze anybody?

Here he somehow convinces a policeman, Maurice in this case, to drive them and their bikes across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Because, as they found out, you sure aren't allowed to ride across.

The price? Mike said Maurice wanted to be featured in Arnotti Thoughts. Steep price, but can't blame him.

So, from the Canadian lads to Maurice, thanks!

[Ed. Note: Hope this doesn't get him fired.]

So a good run down the coast today.

And now let's zoom out for the overall view.

Not too shabby........

Laissez les bons temps roulez!

Or, to quote Jimmy Buffett from one of Mike's favourite albums, Barometer Soup;

Come along let's have some fun.
The hard work has been done.
We'll barrel roll into the sun.
Just for starters...

This is SO EXCITING! Wish we could fly down to Key West to welcome them in --- wouldn't that be a hoot? I know you're pre-occupied right now, and I have work, but it was an idea... Very cool!!!
